I was tired of renting an apartment and having the rent raised every year by the greedy property owners so I decided to look for a home to purchase. It had been a long time since I had purchased a home so I knew I needed a real estate agent that knew what she was doing and could help me. I did some research online and chose Lacey Mapes. She was the 2022 Rookie of the Year, and she got back to me right away after I emailed her. I found a property that I was interested in and that evening my roommates and I looked at the place with Lacey. After our tour we knew that this was the place. I told Lacey: "Let's make it happen," and she took the ball and ran with it. Exactly one month later we had closed on the home and we were homeowners.
Whenever there was something I needed to know, she contacted me so I was never in the dark. She guided me through the process and was patient with me because things have changed a bit since I last purchased a home thirty years ago in Montana. We worked hand in hand with Sue Moody and Jody Hoffman at Canopy Mortgage and they were also amazing, very detail oriented and super professional.
I was a nuclear and non-nuclear welding and non-destructive testing inspector (VT,MT,PT,UT,RT,and ET) in the Navy (we made sure that when the submarine submerged it came back up) and I am currently an ASNT NDT Level III Test Examiner (VT,MT,PT,UT, and RT and an AWS Senior Certified Welding Inspector along with other certifications; and my job is to make sure that all quality standards and codes are met and that all documentation is "Audit Proof."
Lacey has the highest ethical standards and pays meticulous attention to detail and I recognized and appreciated that right away. I also recognized and appreciated that she stood back and let us take our time to walk through the house and the property without talking non-stop like so many other sales persons have a tendency to do. She was the consummate professional during the home tour and the property sold itself.
Everything with this transaction was done correctly the first time, there were no surprises and we could not be happier. My roommates and I have our forever Michigan home and we are so thankful. Thank you Lacey with Remax, thank you Canopy Mortgage and thank you Superior Title.
